ACROBATICS
Promote & encourage participation in Acrobatic Gymnastics in New South Wales.
What is Acrobatics?
Acrobatic Gymnastics (or Acro as it is known) is a dynamic & spectacular sport for girls and boys, incorporating balancing, aerial and tumbling skills within a dance routine. Acrobats use their partner’s hands, feet or shoulders to perform balance skills, such as handstands, or aerial skills such as somersaults. The athletes compete in groups of 2. 3 or 4 where they build pyramids and the bases perform throws with their top. This is blended with the dynamic tumbling of traditional gymnastics.
With roles as tops, middles & bases, there is a place for every age, size and ability.
